Marsh and I had a #staycation in Redmond, OR. We stayed at the downtown Redmond Hotel part of @scphotels. This stay has been on my wish list for awhile. We started our Saturday downtown at a holiday craft fair with spiced cider from @eqwinebar and then we shopped small at the various shops on 6th st. By 4:30 we were in front of our tv tuned into Duck football. Down below on the Main Street, Redmond hosted its #Starlight parade. Marsh watched the community below and fed me commentary… “here comes the Portland airport
de-icer!”
I stayed loyal to #duckfootball while texting friends and family and reminiscing about the #kennywheatonrunback against the Huskies 30 years ago!
The Redmond parade that kicks off the fair and rodeo was a part of my life for years. My grandparents lived above the Dry Canyon before they passed and I was often in Redmond playing in the canyon. Every year we watched the parade. Marsh and I walked the trails in the canyon this morning and I searched for signs of my grandpas barn. I didn’t find anything, but when we got home, I found some family photos of my mom in the parade as a #rodeoqueen and my grandpa as a member of Deschutes County Search and Rescue. I also found an early shot of me in the barn and the Dry Canyon, pre-park.
Our dinner at @feastxfoodco was fabulous and so was breakfast at

Happy Holidays from Cowgirl Properties🤠
Can we help you find your spot in Central Oregon?
Enjoy the season and #goducks
I’m not showing a lot of houses these days, but I’m seeing some really good price reductions. If people have their home on the market now they really want to sell.
I’ve included 3 homes that showed up on the price reductions #hotsheet that are now looking especially attractive…
The first home, is a two bed, 2 bath bungalow near Bend High on the eastside. I have not been in this house for a few reasons. One it started rediculously high at $675,000 and two it’s close to the eastside
El Sancho, and after their fire this summer I haven’t been by this house, to remind me to take a look. It’s better now, priced at $599k
The second house at 17250 Mountain View Road in Sisters caught my eye at $799,000. I mapped it, and you can be at Live music at @belfryevents or the Farmers Market in Sisters in 11 minutes. What’s really cool is the access to Wychus Creek and the array of wildlife in this area. You get the benefit of paved roads, and Mountain View’s, but no Black Butte crowds.
The third house, I’m sharing two photos. (The listing has many gorgeous shots of the interior and the views) I just wanted to show that the high quality finishes are inside and Out! It started at $3,295,000 and is down to $2,750,000. This lot at 3282 NW Starview is amazing. Bachelor to Jefferson views from the generous deck and inside the home. The rock and wood details and the private lot, make this house almost impossible to recreate at any price.
In the meantime… I’m working on getting back into shape on the Nordic trails. Marsh is feeling much stronger than me 😆
I’m around over Thanksgiving if you or your visiting friends or family want to talk #Bendrealestate or see a house or two!
The #Cowgirlproperties team of @sharonnabend and @krisallenblea and I, toured this #riverfront property yesterday. Our little posse has a combined total of about 100 years of living in Bend 😂 and none of us had ever seen these townhomes! The interior is vaulted and airy and gorgeous with a main level primary suite and open greatroom. Of course I just headed straight to the back deck to take in the river view and gorgeous ponderosas! Downstairs are two more suites and a greatroom currently used as an artists studio.
This 3 bed, 4 bath 2929 sq ft home near downtown #BendOregon is currently listed by Engels and Voelkers Bend for $1.5 million.

Cowgirl Properties working her #farm… A long time real estate marketing strategy: #Farming. It involves the slow, steady cultivation of a certain area. I pick up trash on a stretch of road here, live here, attend neighborhood meetings, walk and ride the paths to the pubs, ( @bevelbeer, @riversplacebend, @cascadelakesbrewingco) the new coffee shop (@havenbagelandcoffee) the fitness centers ( @larkspurcommunitycenter AND @juniperswimandfitness) and when I’m lucky… I pick new neighbors! ♥️ #farming #neighborhoods #community #eastside #bendoregon
My fearless, fun, can do friend and client closed on her beautiful house recently. Liz called me early in the year and said she was looking for a rural property with space for her three horses that are boarded and leased. We got busy looking at property from Sisters to East Bend. We looked at homes with historic barns, we looked at architecturally designed fixers, we walked parcels of land, we saw equestrian neighborhoods, and gated communities; and then she came to the realization she wanted neighbors. She wanted community, she wanted trails out her front door, friends nearby, and coffee shops and a home where she could ride her bike to the Farmers Market and @bendconcerts. (Where we combined a little business with pleasure) And that’s how Liz ended up with a new house in an award winning neighborhood. Sometimes the perfect home takes time to find. You have to try things on, and let timing and fate fall into place. It was fun to be on the journey with her! #capable #strong #cowgirlproperties #bendoregonrealestate #centraloregon
I’m headed home after 4 productive days working on my #cowgirlcottage. I stopped into a cute juice bar I’ve been wanting to try @sunn_juice_decor and got distracted by the #art. I walked around and pursued the shop as another customer was being helped. When I ordered my drink I commented on how much I liked the art… turns out the other customer was the artist. Kevin Cornelius. He graduated from Bend High in 1983! He skied at Anthony Lakes for the first time in 2005 and moved here immediately afterwards. Love #smallworld experiences and my new local art! @travelbakercounty @bakercitydowntown
I took a break from wallpaper removal at my Cowgirl Property #fixer in Eastern Oregon. I walked past a new listing that likely needs some work and then past an adorable cottage. I popped my head into the YMCA to find a bunch of #pickleballplayers! At my next stop: Ace Hardware, I got to meet Deuce, the resident cat. Then I stopped to peruse the plants and gifts and get a coffee at an adorable shop off of the Main Street and took a phone call while checking out the snowy Elkhorn mountains. Last stop, @sweetwifebaking to try their #cardamom sweet roll… I like this town! #allbyfoot #walk #explore #slowdown #smalltownusa
Had to share this… thanks for posting @grandmasfollies 😂
Happy Halloween all you #queens and #cowgirls!

I’ve had a good few days kickin’ around Baker City, OR. I’ve always loved this little town. While I’ve lived in Bend most of my life and watched the population sign go from 15,000 residents to almost 100,000, Baker City has held pretty steady at about 10,000 people. Main Street is “wide enough to turn around a team of mules” and is filled with Old Stone Buildings from the early 1900’s. It’s home to the Oregon Trail Museum with miles of actual wagon wheel ruts. In 1861 #gold was found and that’s when Baker really boomed. It was the big cultural stop between Salt Lake City and Portland. Think Operas, fine dining, opulent hotels.
Marsh and I try to make it to the Elk Horns once a year to ski at Anthony Lakes ski resort. We camp, eat and drink at the Starbottle, and back country ski. One or two days we Nordic ski on beautifully groomed trails.
For years I’ve been following the real estate, and finally a little house appeared that spoke to me. She’s small, built in 1910, and an 11 minute walk to Ace Hardware and @barleybrowns. I also have a little money from the sale of @cowgirlcash to finally make this day dream a reality.
So today I close on a part time job… An extension of Cowgirl Properties, where I renovate, furnish, and rent out my little Cowgirl Cottage. (See the last pic)
I drive back to Bend today for a final walk thru of a clients amazing New home, and have an inspection scheduled for tomorrow! Life is busy and full and I like it that way!
