Before and After.

I wrote my offer in mid July 2024 on my long dreamt about Cowgirl Cottage. I’m just now finishing up the house/project and am ready to rent it as a mid-term rental. A furnished rental in the 10,000 person town of Baker City, Oregon for a minimum of 30 days at a time…. The process has been slow, but very satisfying. I found contractors who I adore and trust. They brought in experts on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC… this 1910 cottage needed the whole team. I LOVE it. If you are reading this blog: Thank you. Interested in staying in this great little town for less than 30 days? Text me directly. It’s easy and fun. A worthwhile exploration of Eastern Oregon.

Before and After…

Early February. I had my trailer in Baker and slept in it.

The front porch when I first saw this house in July 2024.

The antlers are a relic from the Branin family cabin. I’m slightly sentimental.

Primary bedroom.

We stuffed a King bed in this room. Its a treat!

The kitchen needed structural help and new wiring…. and new plumbing.

Facebook hood, existing stove. Treasured stained glass purchased from Nancy P’s in Bend, “makes the kitchen” and is a sunny privacy screen!

One salvaged shelf from the Brooks Scanlon Mill.

I love this generous entry in a small cottage.

Entre! Crystal chandelier from Arrange.

That Cowgirl Painting defines my Cowgirl vibe. Art by Kasey Ansteth.

This space was very confusing when I saw it in July 2024.

ahhhh… dining room. Work space? An open space to do Art!?

Vintage Jack and Jill bath is now a small bathroom with a shower, and I added a small #watercloset off of bedroom #2

Bedroom #2. Old School; turned Boutique Hotel sink added.

Look for a Furnished Finder listing to be posted this week.
