The Cowgirl Transition

I’ve been hustling the last 15 years. Shop, buy, clean, press, repair, merchandise, market, SELL. A lot goes into having a second hand store that claims to be a Boutique.

So what did I do the first week I sold my Western Vintage Boutique and the money was barely in the bank? I went looking for my own Cowgirl Property. Something cute, something I could “doll” up a bit. I want a furnished rental that I can rent 30 days minimum and also be a get away for me sometimes too. I have a budget of course. And the cute house that likely needs work has to “pencil”. This house also needs to be in another community other than Bend or Redmond. (due to price, and my love of rural communities)

I found one, but after a few trips to look at it ,and time spent crunching numbers, I decided to sit patient for just a bit. I keep saying I just want one job, and managing a furnished rental is a job in itself. It was a tough decision to walk away from this cutie.

This Cowgirl Properties venture is not a sprint. It’s a lifestyle, a career, and a creative endeavor with room for fresh ideas and collaboration. Do you have ideas to vet and act on that includes real estate? Lets talk!

Also, here are a few more photos taken by my friend Amy Castano of me and the new owners of Cowgirl Cash. Cheers to new endeavors and jumping on the steed for an amazing ride!
