In June of 2017 I started thinking that the space Cowgirl Cash was in, wasn’t being utilized to its full potential. I needed about half the size to sell hats, boots, turquoise, and Western Vintage apparel. And then, out of thin air, a friend introduced me to Suzanne Molt. Suzanne had moved to Bend from Tacoma, where she had a home interiors boutique. Suzanne had been in Bend for two years and  was working in a downtown Bend store and building her interior design business. She was ready to have a housewares store of her own. We met, and talked for almost 6 months about how we could combine her French style and my Western Vintage Cowgirl style into one cohesive, beautiful, welcoming space.

In April 2018, we covered the windows of 924 Brooks street and re-emerged Memorial Day weekend as Cowgirl Cash and Arrange. We put a saying on the window to keep us focused and communicate our esthetic…

“Where Timeless French, meets Fresh Western”

It turns out, Cowgirl and French have many aesthetic and philosophical crossovers. It’s a natural combination for the new-comers and old timers to Central Oregon. Everyday customers comment on how different our store feels and how much they love it.

There were a few challenges early on with entering inventory into a new Point of Sale system, and working with our book keeper and accountant to keep things smooth and operating like one store, even though we are separate businesses operating more like business roommates than partners. But after 51/2 years we are rolling along 7 days a week with the help of Kris and Sharon.

Suzanne and I are proud of our partnership and the synergies we’ve created as women working to have a balance of creative work that supports us and gives us rich lives filled with the fun that living in Central Oregon offers. Skiing, hiking, riding, time on the water and music are both high priorities for us, and we respect each others time away to enjoy it all, so we stay healthy and happy!
