Winter transition at Cowgirl Cash

Cheers to 7 years in Downtown Bend!

This is the time of year I reflect, slow down, and bundle up so I can keep playing outside.  Colder weather and fewer visitors is a great time to get on our trails.

It's also the right time to transition to Winter Hours.

Halloween is Cowgirl Cash's 7th birthday in Downtown Bend. It's an easy date to remember because my tagline for my opening day was "it's scary opening a retail store in the middle of a recession."  It's still slightly scary running a retail business in downtown Bend, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Cowgirl Cash has found its place and its people. In general, I think my customer really thinks about where their dollar is spent.  They want value, they want quality, they want to keep their money local, they like handmade, and second hand because they care about the environment.  They also like items that are unique. I'm proud of the business that I've created and I love the life it gives me. I've also been able to hire really high quality people to work with and trust my shop to when I do the other things I like to do.

Winter hours also allows me to expand another arm of my business.  Cowgirl Properties. I'm the Broker Owner of this little real estate firm with the awesome name. I'm keeping my eyes on horse property, and close-in eastside Bend, where values can still be found, backyard chickens and bees are accepted, and you can still ride your bike to downtown.

So while Cowgirl Cash might be closed, I'm out scouting for treasures and looking at property.

Winter Hours: Wed-Sat 11-6.  Sun:12-4

Today was Tuesday.  Broker tour day.

This property caught my eye... 63357 Deschutes Market Rd.  A 2200 sq. ft. charming log home on 2.53 acres. There is an additional 1040 sq. ft. shingle sided (legal) Fuqua home on the property, and a 2871  sq ft. insulated shop. $649,900. No CCR's here. RV parking? Hell yes.
