Spring

Spring in Central Oregon isn’t our strong suit. We get glimpses, and then a freeze comes or a hail storm. Spring weather is imbedded in my mind, because as a student at Bend High in the mid 1980’s I played tennis. I was the worst player on a team of 8, but this was no average team. We won the State championship in both 1984 and 1985. We beat out larger schools with indoor tennis clubs and better spring weather, like Lincoln, Wilson, South Eugene, South Salem, Medford. The tennis team at Bend High always took pride in the fact that we played outside in snow, rain, hail, ice, and then the next day we’d get completely sun burnt. This is the time of year, my body starts to crave real heat and hiking with out ski clothes. I “need” a good dose of vitamin D..

The photo shoot we just had with Tilly Blea and Charlotte Dupont, was taken on a cold February day. We were channeling spring getaways, with warm layers to board a plane in Redmond, and flirty dresses that could be revealed in Palm Springs. Wherever you find your warmth, layer up and add some vintage flair to show your Central Oregon love and allegiance. Then come home and realize you live in the best possible place to live if you like four seasons, wide open spaces, nice people, and to ride…. horses, snowboards, bikes, sleds, Moto!

Opportunity abounds in Central Oregon. Wanna talk real estate?
